I Can't say enough about these guys!! No needed to go to the big box guys keep it local. I have been dealing with Lee on the front desk for years and he has never let me down! They just recently did a good size order for me on some specialty lumber. It came in as expected and was delivered quickly to the house and at a GREAT PRICE! No need to shop around these guys are VERY FAIR!!!! Thanks again
I normally support lumber yards over box stores, particularly when buying materials like lumber. Generally the products are a higher quality at the lumber yard and often not having to pick through an entire skid of boards to get a few good ones is worth it, even if it costs more. I came in to chapman to buy 16 5/4x6"x8' cedar decking boards. $14.20 a piece, while they're $9 at home depot. They'll be good though right? We went outside to find that the boards were in terrible condition. They were split, full of knots, had knots missing from the edges, staples all over, the edges were chipped, they were dented, etc etc, etc. I spent the better part of a half an hour going through another skid trying to get some decent boards. Ultimately we barely had 16 that were serviceable.
I went back inside to complain and pointed out the fact that they were 45% more expensive than the box store for complete junk product, and instead of being met with any sympathy I was told I would have to speak to larry, the buyer. I called larry the next day and he told me he would "look into it."
Great cabinets but too many screwups on this job including having wrong address for cabinet delivery. Horrible and nasty customer service! Never owned up to their mistakes nor did they apologize. Also,they wouldn't let me return unopened box of tile.
Terrible experience, and I dropped $600 on a small quantity of cedar. Not coming back. Yard guy was nice at least, but that's it.
Great people...beats going to the big box stores. These employees are very kind and helpful. You will never get the same service and individual help at orange or blue!!
Glad to have come here to buy some supplies, helpful folks and the lumber I got was nice and straight. Will be back for the next project!
