One of the few great places in Thomaston area to have lunch or dinner. If you haven't been there yet you should check it out. They always have excellent, unique specials that you won't find anywhere else in the area. They have a bar area and two separate dining areas as well depending on your needs.

The tables are big enough to sit, eat, and talk. The staff is incredibly attentive they never let your glass go dry.

Good food in a pleasant atmosphere at reasonable price. Good service as well.

We had appetizers that night. We had New England clam chowder seasoned perfectly. Then on to there pan fried chicken dumplings. The sauce that came with it was hit with 50 percebt of the table. They do have teriyaki sauce as well. Huge bib lettuce salad split by 4 of us. And we split a burger that was to kill for perfectly cooked. And if you or don't like Brussels sprouts you have to try their version that have been pan fried and drizzled with an awesome averse sauce. I don't like Brussels sprouts for the record. And I would come back and get these again and again there is plenty for sharing.

I would

The black rock tavern has a greatstrightup bat huge drink and beer menu and friendly wait staff. But there other hidden gem is they have a full sit down side as well.

So leave the bar go into the full service dining room sit and enjoy an incredible meal.

So your hungry you need FOOD....and your standard pub grub won't do.....then this is your place.....

I want to Black Rock restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner, had Clams Casino appetizer surf and turf was the main course and I had a ghost I believe it was called ghost pigeon Porter. The food and drink was very good, but I feel the price for the main course with a bit Hyatt $38 considering the size of the piece of meat and considering you only got half of a lobster tail. The service was very good or waitress was very pleasant and always coming back to check on us, I have no complaints at that in that respect. All in all a good place to eat and a nice atmosphere.

Wife and I love Tuesday night's with their bartender Mike. Always like sitting with family while enjoying a great meal. The new sriracha-jalepeno burger is awesome, but I suggest adding the fried egg from the Breakfast club burger to make it awesome. Always a good meal and great service
